- Which apps does Empiric Apps make?
- We build native macOS apps and browser extensions: Zenithal (Docker & Kubernetes), Tappie and Tappie-py (Homebrew GUI for macOS and Linux), EmpiricCommander (dual-pane file manager for macOS, iPad & iPhone), and two Chrome extensions - Markdown Viewer and Empiric Studio.
- Are there free versions or trials?
- Yes - Tappie and Tappie-py are completely free. Zenithal has a fully functional Free tier you can use indefinitely, with a Pro tier for advanced features. EmpiricCommander offers a 7-day free trial with all features unlocked, then $29.99 one-time. Both Chrome extensions are free.
- What are the system requirements?
- Zenithal runs on macOS 13.0 (Ventura)+, Apple Silicon or Intel. Tappie requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma)+. EmpiricCommander requires macOS 15.0 (Sequoia)+ on Mac and also runs on iPadOS 17 and iOS 17. Tappie-py works on macOS 12+ or Linux with Homebrew.
- Is my data sent to your servers?
- No - our native apps run entirely on your device. We only contact our servers for license validation and update checks. Your containers, packages, files, and configurations never leave your machine. Our Chrome extensions process content locally as well; see the privacy pages for full details.
- Will there be team or enterprise plans?
- Yes - we plan to offer team pricing with volume discounts for organizations. Contact us if you're interested in a team plan for any of our paid products.
