Tappie-py

Cross-Platform Edition

Tappie-py is a cross-platform edition of Tappie, built with Python. It provides the same Homebrew management experience on both macOS and Linux.

Requirements

  • macOS 12+ or Linux with Homebrew installed
  • For running from source: Python 3.10+, Tkinter, customtkinter

macOS Installation

  1. Download the .dmg file
  2. Open it and drag Tappie-py to Applications
  3. First launch: right-click → Open (to bypass Gatekeeper)

Linux Installation

AppImage:

chmod +x Tappie-py-*.AppImage && ./Tappie-py-*.AppImage

Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo dpkg -i tappie-py_*.deb

Installation

  1. 1

    Install Homebrew (if not already)

    Open Terminal and run the Homebrew installation command from brew.sh

  2. 2

    Download Tappie

    Click the download button above to get the latest version of Tappie.

  3. 3

    Open the DMG file

    Double-click the downloaded file and drag Tappie to your Applications folder.

  4. 4

    Launch Tappie

    Open Tappie from your Applications folder. It will automatically detect Homebrew and sync your packages.
