How does the free trial work?
When you first install EmpiricCommander, all features are unlocked for 7 days. No sign-up or credit card is required. After the trial, you need to purchase a license ($29 one-time) to continue using the app.
What happens after the trial ends?
After the 7-day trial, the app stops working until you purchase a license. There is no limited free version — the trial gives you the full experience so you can decide if it's right for you.
What happens when v2 releases?
Your v1 license continues to work for v1 indefinitely. When v2 is released, you can upgrade at a discounted price. There is no obligation to upgrade — v1 will continue to work as-is.
Can I use EmpiricCommander on multiple devices?
On macOS, your license key can be activated on up to 3 personal devices. On iPad and iPhone, your App Store purchase is tied to your Apple ID and available on all your Apple devices automatically.
How do I activate my license?
On macOS, open EmpiricCommander, go to Settings (Cmd+,) > License, and enter the license key you received by email after purchase. On iPad and iPhone, simply complete the In-App Purchase and all features activate immediately.
